In Barkarby in the northwestern part of Stockholm, TK Development is developing a 20,000 m² retail park expected to consist of 12 to 14 units. The current occupancy rate is 94 %, and lease agreements have been concluded with various major tenants, including XXL (sports store), Clas Ohlson, Intersport, Toys”R”Us, Lager 157, Grizzly, Kjell & Co., Burger King, Pizza Hut and the fitness chain Nordic Wellness. In Q2 2013/14 the project was sold to a fund managed by Cordea Savills. The sale is based on forward funding. Construction started in August 2013, and all the retail stores opened in November 2014, with the exception of Toys“R”Us, which is scheduled to open in January 2015. Earnings from the sale will be recognized when the project is handed over to the investor.
